03/14/06 - Congratulations to Mark M. of the Varsity Boys, who made it as an individual player to the Boys State Tournament on 3/11/06. He played a fine 3 game series of 591. See the photos that were taken that day.
It's been a wonderful season and we would like to thanks all the players, coaches, and their parents. We look forward to next season! Have a wonderful spring and summer! We'll see you in the fall. Tryouts for next season will be sometime at the beginning of November 2006. Be sure to practice, practice, practice!
03/06/06 - Congratulations to the WSHS Varsity Girls for taking 3rd place in the State High School Tournament on 3/4/06! Congratulations to Joy A. for making the 1st State Tournament Team with a 3 games series of 685! It was a wonderful season and we thank the players, coaches and parents for all they have done and still do for our team. We look forward to next season ALREADY! Keep practicing! We wish Mark M. good luck this weekend at the State High School Tournament for the boys on 3/11/06. He's representing our team as an individual. 03/01/06 - Congratulations to the WSHS Varsity Girls for taking 1st place in the Regional High School Tournament on 2/26! Girls total pins: 4243. Also we would like to congratulate Joy A. (2nd place) & Ciara C. (MVP 1st place), for making the All Tournament Team! The Varsity Girls Team will be advancing to the State event on 3/4/06 at Shawnee Lanes in Chillicothe, Ohio. Please come out and support the girls next weekend! Congratulations to the WSHS Boys Varsity Team for taking 3rd place in the Regional High School Tournament! Boys total pins: 4652. Congratulations to Mark M. for making the All Tournament Team and advancing as an individual to the Boys State Tournament at Shawnee Lanes in Chillicothe, Ohio on 3/11/06. GOOD LUCK TO ALL! 02/22/06 - Congratulations to the WSHS Varsity Boys and Varsity Girls for both placing 1st in the High School Division Tournament on 2/18/06. BOYS TOTAL PINS = 3936 / GIRLS TOTAL PINS = 3506 - Also congratulations to Joy (MVP Player), Ciara, Danielle, and Josh (2nd in photo) for making the all-tournament teams! We're off to the Regional High School Tournament on 2/26/06 at Eastland Lanes. Be there! The memory book creation night has been changed. It's now at the Palace Lanes on 2/22/06 right after practice. Lunches for the Regional Event will be provided by the fund to the coaches and the kids playing. Parents are welcome to the lunches we have left. 02/14/06 - Congratulations to the WSHS Junior Varsity Boys and Junior Varsity Girls for taking 1st place in the JV Tourny at Sequioa Lanes on 2/11/06! Both teams have defended their first place titles for 2 years in a row! BOYS TOTAL PINS = 3096 / GIRLS TOTAL PINS = 2272 / Also congratulations to Ben, Martha & Kristen for making the all-tournament teams! Coming up this Sunday (2/19/06) at the Palace Lanes is the District High School Varsity Tournament. We hope to see you all there! Be sure to check the schedule for other upcoming events.
01/24/06 - On 1/23/06 the WSHS
Varsity Girls Team bowled against the Sunny 95 morning crew. We won. Final
score was WSHS 820 - Sunny 95 609. We invite them to bowl with us and the rest
of our team anytime they wish. It was really fun!

We have two matches this week. Both are at "home" so we look forward to seeing

01/19/06 - There is a great article in the Westerville SNP this week on our bowling teams. You can read it online by clicking here. We're looking forward to our last 2 matches at home, as well as the upcoming JV tournament, the District, the Regional, and the State events. Good luck to all who are bowling! Of course, don't forget to check out the Varsity Girls Team on 1/23/06 at 7am as they're bowling against the Sunny 95 morning crew! We also recently went downtown to help feed the homeless. It was a wonderful experience and we look forward to possibly doing it again next year.
01/12/06 - Hope everyone's New Year is going well so far! Coming to the Columbus Square Bowling Palace on Monday, January 23rd, 2006 starting at 7:00 am: Sunny 95 Radio Station will be doing their morning show via live radio broadcast from the Columbus Bowling Palace. They have challenged the Westerville South High School Girls Varsity Bowling Team to a match! Listen to 94.7 FM inside Columbus, OH if you can’t be there in person! The show is from 5:30 am to 10am. - The match will begin around 7 am. We are looking forward to this match very much. Should be a lot of fun! All kids and parents from all schools are invited along with anyone else who would like to come. There is no school for Westerville on that day.
On Tuesday, January 17th, there is no practice for the team. Instead they
will be going down to the homeless shelter to serve dinner to the homeless and
will present a check to the shelter. Please meet at the Palace at 4:00 pm
to ride down there together. Parents are needed to drive students down. Please
let Coach Wells know if you can provide transportation. This is a mandatory
team activity!
12/31/05 - The
photo album has been updated with new photos of the Holiday
Tournament in Cincinnati and other stuff. We have also added a story photo
page regarding our trip to Cincinnati. FUNNY!

with the latest Ohio High School Power Rankings. South girls are in 1st place
in the girls division. Congratulations!
South Boys - we hope you see you on there soon. We know you can do it! Both
teams have played exceptional so far this year. Keep up the great work! Don't

photo album has been updated with new photos of the Holiday
Tournament in Cincinnati. It also has a new look for easier navigation.

schedule for special practice times for the week of 12/26.
The directions page has been updated to reflect new Google map linking. Links
for the bowling facilities websites, if they have one, have also been added.
Note that the facility in Chillicothe has also been added to the list for
those of you who are traveling to the State Tournament. If staying overnight,
reserve your
hotel rooms now. If you need to cancel your reservation later, you
can. Make sure you give at least a week's notice if canceling so you don't get
charged.

Congratulations to Joy A. for making the 2nd Girls All-Tournament Team! * Please note that the schedule has changed regarding practice this week. While boys practice at regular times, on the 23rd, for the girls only, there is no practice. Parent sweatshirt order forms are due on 12/20/05. Please give to Mrs. Arrigo, or Ms. Giles. 12/08/05 - The
photo album has been updated with new photos of the Scrimmage we
had at Capri vs DeSales and the Holiday Parade. The programs have been printed
and have turned out to be the best we've ever done! We have sent packages to
each business that put an ad in our program so they should be getting those
any day. Team photos have been taken and we expect to have those soon. You
will receive a team 5x7, a personal 5x7, and a button. The zoo outing
for tonight may be canceled
due to the snow so if it snows as much as we expect it to, then
expect a call from your Captains notifying you that it's been canceled. If
you're not going to be around to get the phone call, be sure to stay in touch
with your Captains so they can tell you what's going on... we don't want
anyone getting hurt out there... safety first! Don't forget to get your candle
orders on 12/9/05 after practice so you can get those delivered over the
weekend.
12/03/05 - The photo album has been updated with new photos including a full team picture! We have concluded the candle-in-a-jar fundraiser as well as the program booklet (ad's). Thanks for making both such successful programs! Our candles, will be picked up by team members on 12/9/05, and they will be distributing them to those who purchased candles shortly thereafter. The program goes to print on 12/5/05 and should be ready for us to distribute by 12/12/05... maybe even before! Each business who supported us by placing an ad will receive a package containing the booklet. We hope you enjoy! Here's a list of the businesses who have supported our team this year by placing an ad. This year we have a new layout. Our program has been such a success that we even added in a Table of Contents for easier navigation. The team roster page has been updated to reflect averages for those who bowled in the 05-06 Best of the Best Tourny. Other averages will be posted shortly.
11/29/05 - The team schedule has been updated to reflect important new dates for bowling matches and other dates for activities and due dates for items like the hoodie orders and candle order delivery dates.
